RASCAL FLATTS announced yesterday on “CBS This Morning” that they’re launching a farewell tour this summer. But when asked what “farewell” means, they didn’t give a straight answer.
GARY LEVOX said it means they haven’t had a break in 20 years, and JOE DON ROONEY called it a “thank you for all these years.”
JAY DEMARCUS did open the door a little, saying, quote, “We make music, and that’s what we do. And we may do it again someday collectively, [but] we’re not gonna sign some pact that says we’re never gonna tour again or anything like that.”
So, no, this isn’t the end. Anyway, the “Rascal Flatts Farewell: Life Is A Highway Tour” will kick-off June 11th in Indianapolis, and wraps October 17th in West Palm Beach, Florida. The closest they’ll come to Wisconsin is the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Chicago on June 25th. They’re also releasing new music this year, but no word when.
