Police say a Chicago man faces multiple assault charges after a fight at a Dubuque woman’s home Saturday. Officers arrested 21-year-old Corey Holmes on charges of domestic assault – displaying a weapon, domestic assault – causing injury, as well as two counts of child endangerment. According to a police report, Holmes was at a residence on Prescott Street to visit his children. He got into an argument with a 22-year-old woman at her home. The woman told police Holmes head-butted and punched her. He also reportedly threatened her with a knife – all while two children were at the home. Holmes fled before police arrived. He was arrested about three hours later. Holmes told police that the woman was the person with the knife and she began the physical altercation.
