Girl Injured After Being Hit By Car

Dubuque Police say a 10-year-old girl was taken to an area hospital after she was hit by a car. According to a police report, the girl was riding a scooter at the intersection of East 22nd Street and Central Avenue around 4:30 Sunday afternoon. Officers say 70-year-old Jeanne Klauer of Dubuque was turning onto Central Avenue when her vehicle hit the girl. The 10-year-old was taken to Mercy One Medical Center for treatment. Klauer has been cited with failure to yield to a pedestrian.
