A Dubuque man has been charged in the death of a woman who died from her injuries following a crash in December. 54 year old Nancy Meisenberg of Dubuque was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 62 year old Anthony Livens of Dubuque that collided with a stolen vehicle driven by 32 year old Branden Authement of Dubuque at the intersection of 5th Street and Central Avenue. The crash happened on December 5th when Authement stole a vehicle from a gas station parking lot and crashed into Livens vehicle. A search warrant sample of Authement’s blood was obtained and showed the presence of methamphetamine. On Friday, Authement was served arrest warrants for Homicide by Vehicle-Operating Under the Influence, a class “B” felony punishable by 25 years in prison, Homicide by Vehicle-Reckless Driving, a class “C” felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, Involuntary Manslaughter a class “D” felony punishable by 5 years in prison, plus several other charges. Authement remains in the Dubuque County jail on a $500,000 cash bond.
