A Dubuque man is dead after a head-on crash early Wednesday in Michigan. Authorities report that 29-year-old John Manion was going east in the west-bound lanes of Interstate 96 near Howell, Michigan. His vehicle hit another vehicle being driven by 30-year-old Mary Buchanan of Lansing, Michigan around 2am Wednesday. Manion was pronounced dead at the scene. Buchanan was taken to an Ann Arbor hospital where she died from her injuries. Authorities say a 28-year-old passenger in Buchanan’s vehicle also was injured in the crash.
