Dubuque Fighting Saints forward Connor Kurth has been named the USA Hockey Junior Player of the Year. Kurth is the 2nd Saint to win the award, after Zach Solow earned it in 2017. The honor recognizes the most outstanding American-born player in junior hockey. The 18-year-old Kurth completed his career in Dubuque with 50 goals and 72 assists in 114 games. He notched 81 points (35 goals and 46 assists) in 62 games this past season. Kurth is committed to the University of Minnesota, where he’ll join the Gophers as a freshman later this year.
