Police say one person was taken to a hospital after a two-vehicle crash Saturday in Dubuque. 71 year old Leon Simon of Bernard was taken by ambulance to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital for treatment of his injuries. According to Dubuque police, a vehicle traveling west on Carter Road, driven by 26 year old Austin Putchio of Dubuque was stopped for the stop sign at the intersection with John F. Kennedy Road Saturday around 10am when Putchio’s vehicle pulled out from the stop sign and was struck by Simon’s vehicle. Putchio was cited with failure to obey a stop or yield sign.
