A new trial date again has been set for a Dubuque man charged with attempted murder. 26 year old Dayron Guzman is charged in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County with attempted murder, willful injury causing serious injury and going armed with intent. Guzman waived his right to a speedy trial, and the trial has been rescheduled for October 24. It previously was set to begin September 5. Guzman is charged in connection with a June stabbing at a Dubuque apartment complex in which 32 year old Alberto Hernandez-Avila of Dubuque was stabbed multiple times on June 1st.
