A Dubuque man has been sentenced to two years of probation for intoxicated driving in a crash in which a child was injured. 26 year old Michael Patterson received the sentence from Iowa District Associate Judge Mark T. Hostager after pleading guilty to operating while intoxicated. A crash report states that Patterson was traveling west on Lincoln Avenue in Dubuque around 9:30 p.m. August 22nd when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with Windsor Avenue and struck a vehicle driven south on Windsor by 29 year old Shayniece Lanksto of Chicago. A 9 year old child was a passenger in Lankston’s vehicle and had minor injuries in the crash. Patterson then drove from the scene and was located later in the area of East 20th and Jackson streets.
