The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of its retired K9 officer, Rosko, who died Friday at the age of 14. Rosko served the county for over a decade, from 2010 to 2021, alongside his handler K9 Supervisor Sgt. Gunderson. Iowa County Sheriffs officials said Rosko was part of hundreds of narcotics seizures during his time in service. Rosko also helped track suspects as well as at-risk citizens. He also represented the Iowa County Sheriff’s office at schools and community events.
