After four days of testimony from over two dozen witnesses, prosecuting and defense attorneys on Monday both rested their cases in the Jackson County murder trial of 58 year old Christopher Prichard of Bellevue. Prichard is on trial for first-degree murder and first-degree robbery in the fatal shooting of his estranged wife, 55 year old Angela Prichard, who was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound on Oct. 8, 2022, at her Bellevue business, Mississippi Ridge Boarding Kennels. Prosecutors allege Christopher Prichard shot and killed his wife after their relationship deteriorated to the point of her seeking a protective order against him. The defense has argued the shooting was an accident.
