A Dubuque County man has been sentenced to five years in prison after authorities said he fired a gun at an area mobile home park. 36 year old Travis Dauber of Peosta received the sentence in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County after pleading guilty to charges of intimidation with a dangerous weapon, control of a firearm by a felon and domestic assault with injury. According to a report, the charges stem from a July 20 incident in which law enforcement responded to a domestic disturbance call involving a gun at Lost Canyon Mobile Home Park outside of Peosta. Authorities who arrived on scene saw an individual, later identified as Dauber, running into the wooded area by the mobile home park “with a black case and a long gun. Dauber later was located at the end of Lost Canyon Road and was arrested.
