The North Carolina based Family Dollar discount chain has announced plans to close almost 1,000 stores. Family Dollar will close 600 locations this year and 370 stores over the next several years as store leases expire. Family Dollar has around 8,000 US stores. Company Officials say inflation has hit Family Dollar customers and the chain’s profits. There is close to 100 Family Dollar Stores in Wisconsin including Boscobel, Fennimore, Muscoda and Richland Center. It is not known at this time, what stores will be impacted.
