The U-S Supreme Court on Friday ruled that cities can enforce bans on homeless people and ticket those sleeping outdoors in areas even where shelter space is lacking. Morgan Frazer is the Executive Director of the Dubuque Rescue Mission.
Frazer added the Rescue Mission has a great relationship with the City, the Police Department and the Crisis Intervention Team to come up with solutions. He wishes the Supreme Court Judges would pack up a sleeping bag and join those sleeping outside to hear their stories. Frazer is willing to bet this would change their minds.
It is estimated there is 650-thousand homeless in the United States.
