John Deere is planning to cut some salaried employees from its workforce beginning next week, according to an email sent to workers. In the email, the company says that an employee meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 24 at 7:30 a.m. A new round of workforce reductions is expected. Additionally, the company is asking for salaried employees who are not required to work onsite to work from home between July 24-26, and to postpone any business travel. It’s not clear how many salaried employees will be impacted in Eastern Iowa.
