Dubuque City Council members appeared interested in opening up Eagle Point Park and Murphy Park to pets after a discussion at their meeting this week. The matter will be referred to the Parks and Recreation Commission, which will provide the public with ways to comment on the issue. The Parks and Recreation Commission next meets on Tuesday and might briefly discuss the issue. The topic as a formal agenda item — which allows the public to provide input — won’t happen until at least October.
