Tyler Dazey, the Dubuque man convicted in July of first-degree murder of his mother and animal abuse of their family dog, has been sentenced to serve life in prison. The two counts will run consecutively. Dazey will not be eligible for parole as he serves out his life sentence. He is also ordered to pay $150,000 in restitution to the estate.
