A Dubuque man has been sentenced to five years of probation for assaulting a bouncer at a local bar. 22 year old Elijah Boyd received the sentence from District Court Judge Thomas Bitter in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County after pleading guilty to one count of willful injury causing bodily injury. If he violates the terms of his probation, Boyd faces up to five years in prison. Reports say that Boyd was one of two men to assault 21 year old James Finn a bouncer at Mason Dixon Saloon, on January 14 in the basement of the bar. Finn was taken to a hospital for treatment of a laceration below his right eyebrow and a swollen right eye.
