The Medical Associates Foundation has announced that it has made a donation to support the purchase of hearing devices for local children with hearing loss. The Foundation donated $25,000 to the Hearing Improvement & Kids Equipment or HIKE Fund. The HIKE Fund was founded by Timothy King and Edward Alt in partnership with the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque to fund the purchase of hearing aids, cochlear implants and related hearing services for local kids. The HIKE Fund is open to everyone, regardless of income. Applications for the fund can be found at Ear, Nose and Throat doctors’ offices around the tri-state area and at the Keystone Area Education Agency.Â
