A former Dubuque resident has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for downloading child pornography while serving time in an Iowa residential facility. 27-yearold Brady D. Salow of Vinton, Iowa, recently received the sentence in U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids after pleading guilty to one count of receiving child pornography, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa. Salow in 2019 was convicted of four counts of possession of a depiction of a minor in a sex act in Dubuque County for pornographic materials he accessed and downloaded while he was living in Dubuque. U.S. District Court Chief Judge C.J. Williams noted at Salow’s sentencing that Salow was “highly likely to reoffend” before passing down the 15-year sentence.
