Dubuque man convicted of sex abuse

A Dubuque man has been convicted of several sex crimes. 64-year-old Teodoro Rubio recently was found guilty of second-degree sexual abuse and three counts of lascivious acts with a child after a jury trial in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County. A sentencing hearing is set for Jan. 6. Court documents state that a Dubuque woman notified police in early 2023 that Rubio had inappropriately touched her when she was a child and that her daughter had disclosed that she also was abused by Rubio when she was a child.
