After announcing last week that he was pulling out of the 2025 Glastonbury Festival, Neil Young has changed his mind and will be playing the UK music fest after all. Young accused Glastonbury of taking a “corporate turn,” claiming the festival wanted “us to do a lot of things in a way that we were not interested in.” But Young released an updated statement on Friday (January 3) where he writes: “Due to an error in the information I received, I had decided not to play the Glastonbury festival, which I always have loved. Happily, the festival is now back on our itinerary and we look forward to playing!” Glastonbury organizer Emily Eavis – daughter of festival founder Michael Eavis – confirmed Young’s appearance in her Instagram post. “Neil Young is an artist who’s very close to our hearts at Glastonbury,” she wrote. “He does things his own way and that’s why we love him. We can’t wait to welcome him back here to headline the Pyramid in June.” (Consequence of Sound)
