The Dubuque Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call on Sunday at 6:56 PM from a resident reporting a fire inside their home on Windsor Ave. The Dubuque Fire Department was dispatched. The response brought 16 firefighters in total on the initial alarm. The structure was determined to be uninhabitable. The Dubuque Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Dubuque Police Department, the American Red Cross, and the Dubuque Water Department. 5 children and 1 adult were relocated with 4 dogs who were removed safely from the structure. The fire is currently under investigation by the Dubuque Fire Department.
