East Central Intergovernmental Association soon will have a new executive director. The ECIA board appointed Mae Hingtgen as executive director for the organization at a special board meeting this week. ECIA provides services and programs for local governments in Cedar, Clinton, Delaware, Dubuque and Jackson counties. Hingtgen has spent her career in the public sector, most recently as CEO of Mental Health/Disability Services of the East Central Region. She also previously worked in Dubuque Community Schools as a behavioral support specialist and learning supports and equity coordinator. Hingtgen will start in her new role June 5.
