Three Hurt In Northeast Iowa Crash

A head-on crash in northeast Iowa early Wednesday sent 3 people to the hospital. According to an Iowa State Patrol report, 22-year-old Jacob Ahlers of Greeley was driving east on Highway 20 between Dyersville and Earlville. At around 7am, his vehicle went onto the shoulder. Ahlers over-corrected and crossed the median. He struck another vehicle, driven by 22-year-old Jamie Weekley of Aplington, head-on. Officials say Weekley was airlifted to University of Iowa Hospital. Ahlers was taken to the Iowa City hospital by ambulance. A 1-year-old child  was taken to Mercy One Medical Center in Dubuque. The crash remains under investigation.
