A nonprofit is hosting a fundraising breakfast to support the replacement of American flags in the Grandview Avenue area. The Sons of the American Legion will hold the event from 8 a.m. to noon March 26th at American Legion Post 6, on Delhi Street. American Legion Post 6 has sponsored the Grandview Avenue Flag Project for decades. The flags are displayed along Grandview Avenue from University to Southern avenues, as well as Plymouth Court, Victoria Place and Diane Court. A City of Dubuque light pole project in the area will require the replacement of the existing flags and their brackets.
