An Iowa man has been sentenced to five years of probation after making threats against a Dubuque child support recovery office. 38 year old Zackery Shepherd of Clinton, Iowa, received the sentence in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County after pleading guilty to a charge of making a threat of terrorism. If he violates the terms of his probation, Shepherd faces up to five years in prison. A report says that Shepherd in November left three voicemails with the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services Child Support Recovery office in Dubuque after the office put a $700 hold on his bank account for failure to pay child support. Shepherd’s voicemails, all received within one hour of each other, contained several threatening messages against the office, including threats to go “postal” and kill “as many people as he could.”
