Police say a Dubuque man drove to Clinton, Iowa, last May to allegedly sexually abuse a girl. 21 year old Hunter Catron of Dubuque was arrested August 1st on warrants charging two counts of third-degree sexual abuse and a single count of possession of a depiction of a minor engaged in a sex act. A report says that Clinton Police responded on May 8th to a report of possible sexual exploitation of a minor. The guardian of a girl under the age of 15 told authorities about concerning online interactions between the girl and a man. An investigation identified Catron. Authorities interviewed Catron and learned that he used messaging apps to share explicit photos with the girl. Catron drove to Clinton in early May 2023 to meet the girl at a movie theater. He then drove the girl to a dark parking lot where he sexually abused her.
