A fire destroyed the porch of a Dubuque residence Saturday night. A resident reported a fire on a porch at the rear of his home around Saturday night. A release states that a Dubuque Police Department officer in the vicinity responded to the residence and used a fire extinguisher on the fire. According to the Dubuque Police Department, seven fire department units responded and knocked down the fire after nine minutes. The fire extended to the roof of the porch but did not extend to other parts of the residence. There was light smoke reported in the residence. There were no injuries.
