A Dubuque hemp store is closing its doors because of Iowa’s new consumable hemp law. The Botanicanna shop inside the Kennedy Mall in Dubuque announced the closure of the location due to restrictions from that new law that went into effect this summer. The law states that consumable hemp products cannot contain more than four milligrams total of THC per serving. Synthetic consumable hemp products are also prohibited such as Delta 8 and Delta 10 THC. Botanicanna said new regulations just aren’t worth the money to keep the Dubuque location open, being that the company has to make everything at this location different than the other two locations due to the change in the law.
