Police say a woman from Pearl City, Illinois was injured Sunday when a Dubuque Fire Department truck ran a red light and hit her vehicle in downtown Dubuque. 22 year old Sierra Eversoll of Pearl City complained of pain and potential injury but was not taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment. According to a crash report, the crash happened at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of East 14th Street and White Street in Dubuque. The report states that 38 year old Jacob Reiff of Dubuque was driving a Dubuque Fire Department ladder truck north on White Street, with the vehicle’s emergency lights and sirens activated. Reiff drove through a red light and struck Eversoll’s vehicle, which was traveling west on East 14th Street through the intersection. Reiff was cited with failure to respond to a steady red signal.
