An Asbury man has been sentenced for his role in a violent assault in downtown Dubuque in June. 21-year old Charles Tyler, who originally was charged with first degree robbery following his arrest entered a guilty plea to a lesser charge of willful injury causing bodily injury. Tyler was ordered to serve one year at a community-based corrections facility and then five years of probation. He was charged following the June 16th incident in the 2000 block of Washington Street. When authorities arrived they found a teen age boy who had been punched in the face several times and was also suffering from a stab wound to one of his arms. The boy’s bicycle was also taken. A 15-year-old boy was also arrested in relation in the incident.
