Platteville teacher arrested for child sex crimes in Alabama

A Platteville teacher has been arrested in Alabama. According to arrest records from the Elmore County Sheriff in Alabama, 48-year-old Owen Strizic of Platteville was arrested at 2:08 AM Saturday on charges of electronic solicitation of a child and traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act. Strizic is an orchestra teacher in the Platteville schools. His information has since been removed from the school’s directory. According to a press release from the Platteville School District Strizic has been placed on leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
